Do Smoking Habits Get Worse After Taking snus?



It is widely known that smoking and snus are both bad for your oral health.  We know that cancer risk is very high and tobacco stain appears on your teeth.  Nicotine replacement seems to be a problem for smokers, rather than a solution.

SNUS may be the first step to stop smoking

According to the Institute for Tobacco Studies, Stockholm, the use of snus in Sweden is associated with a reduced risk of becoming a daily smoker and an increased likelihood of stopping smoking.


Another country besides Sweden has given thought to studies between snus and cigarettes.  Given that snus delivers comparable nicotine concentrations but carries lesser cancer risk than cigarettes, even the Department of Genetics at University of North Carolina found that snus may be a widely used, non-medical form of nicotine replacement therapy.
