Yes, of course, William Wrigley Jr. Company markets sugar free gum.  However, at the Department of Preventive Dentistry, Sichuan University in China, a study was also done comparing chewing gum and non-chewing gum and the resulting debris on teeth.  The University found that Chewing either stick gum or pellet gum resulted in significantly lower oral debris scores (P < 0.0001) compared to the control (no-gum) treatment for all intraoral sites, while no significant difference was observed between the two chewing gum groups.
